Kure — Etajima (Koyo) Schedule and Price List

Regular Schedule

■ The ticket counter is some distance away from the boarding site. Please allow enough time to check in.

Passenger Fare: One way per person (tax incl.)

■ Junior high school students and older are charged the adult fare. The fare for children refers to elementary school children.
■ Infants are free. One preschool child (toddler) per adult sails for free. If an adult sails with more than 1 preschool child, each additional preschooler will be charged the children’s fare.
■ Books of tickets using the old fare (charged until March 31, 2022) are valid up until December 31, 2022.

*Passengers using ferry commuter tickets can board a high-speed ship for an additional fare of 200 yen.

Purchasing Commuter Tickets

■ Etajima City may subsidize school commuter tickets used by students.
■ A School Commute Certificate must be submitted when renewing into a new academic year when entering the next grade, making a new purchase, and changing the commuting segment.
■ A School Commute Certificate must be filled out by a representative of the school of attendance and stamped with the school representative’s official seal. Be ready to show a valid certificate when purchasing commuter tickets.
■ Please download the Work/School Commute Certificate from the link below, fill out the required information, and submit it to the port ticket counter.

Purchasing at Kure Port

■ Commuter tickets are sold at the port ticket counter 9:00–18:30 on weekdays, and 9:00–17:00 on weekends and national holidays from the 25th of the month prior to use up to the 5th of the month of use.
*However, when making a new purchase, the commuter tickets are sold during the hours noted above from the 1st to the 5th of the first month of use.

Purchasing at Koyo Port

■ Commuter tickets are sold at the port ticket counter 8:00–18:50 (weekends/national holidays 7:30–18:50) from the 25th of the month prior to use up to the 5th of the month of use.
*However, when making a new purchase, the commuter tickets are sold during the hours noted above from the 1st to the 5th of the first month of use.
Ex.: Renewal: Sales of commuter tickets for March → Sold February 25–March 5 during the hours noted above.
Ex.: New Purchase: Sales of commuter tickets for March → Sold March 1–5 during the hours noted above.
*There are also commuter tickets available for bicycles and motorcycles. Please inquire at the counter.

Commuter ticket refunds

■ Refunds cannot be given if the total amount of regular round-trip fares from the first day of the purchase month until the date the refund was requested exceeds the commuter ticket purchase amount.

Regular Fares for Vehicles

■ The price of shipping a vehicle on the ferry includes 2nd-class passenger fare for 1 driver.
■ Trucks weighing 20 tons or more are not accepted.
■ Depending on the cargo load, an additional fee may be charged.
■ Special vehicles are charged different fares and in some cases are not accepted.
■ A separate passenger fare is required when shipping bicycles and motorcycles.

Handling Packages

■ Packages are accepted and delivered at the counter at each port. Please bring packages no later than 15 min. prior to departure.
■ Only packages with length, width, and height totaling a maximum of 3m and weighing a maximum of 30kg are accepted.
■ Packages are only accepted on ferries departing Kure Port 9:25–16:50/Koyo Port 9:50–16:25. Packages are not accepted on other cruises.
■ Packages are only accepted on ferries operating during the times noted above. They are not accepted on high-speed ships.
■ Packages are not accepted January 1–3.

Discounted Fares: One way per person (tax incl.)

■ Reservations must be made in advance for groups of 15 persons or more.

■ The discount rate differs if an extra vessel is needed, so please inquire.
