Hiroshima — Etajima (Takata/Nakamachi) High-speed Ships Schedule and Price List

Regular Schedule

●→ No service on Sundays and national holidays.
■ Cruises 15, 16, 17, 18, and 20 sail from Takata Port → Nakamachi Port → Hiroshima Port.
■ When there are fishing boats on the sea, the ship’s speed is reduced, so arrival may be delayed.
■ Reservations are only accepted for groups of 15 persons or more.
■ Cruise distance [Hiroshima Port — Takata Port 14.0km] [Hiroshima Port — Nakamachi Port 15.9km]

Passenger Fare: One way per person (tax incl.)

■ Junior high school students and older are charged the adult fare. The fare for children refers to elementary school children.
■ Infants (under age 1 year) are free. One preschool child (toddler) per adult sails for free. If an adult sails with more than 1 preschool child, each additional preschooler will be charged the children’s fare.

Purchasing Commuter Tickets

■ Etajima City may subsidize school commuter tickets used by students.
■ A School Commute Certificate must be submitted when renewing into a new academic year when entering the next grade, making a new purchase, and changing the commuting segment.
■ A School Commute Certificate must be filled out by a representative of the school of attendance and stamped with the school representative’s official seal. Be ready to show a valid certificate when purchasing commuter tickets.
■ Please download the Work/School Commute Certificate from the link below, fill out the required information, and submit it to the port ticket counter.

Period of purchase at Hiroshima Port

■ Commuter tickets are sold at the port ticket counter 6:45–19:30 from the 25th of the month prior to use up to the 1st of the month of use (weekends/national holidays 7:00–17:30), and 6:45–18:00 from the 2nd to the 5th of the month of use.
*However, when making a new purchase, the commuter tickets are sold during the hours noted above from the 1st to the 5th of the first month of use.

Period of purchase at Takata Port/Nakamachi Port

■ Commuter tickets are sold at the port ticket counter 6:00–19:30 from the 25th of the month prior to use up to the 5th of the month of use.
*However, when making a new purchase, the commuter tickets are sold during the hours noted above from the 1st to the 5th of the first month of use.
Ex.: Renewal: Sales of commuter tickets for March → Sold February 25–March 5 during the hours noted above.
Ex.: New Purchase: Sales of commuter tickets for March → Sold March 1–5 during the hours noted above.

Commuter ticket refunds

■ Refunds cannot be given if the total amount of regular round-trip fares from the first day of the purchase month until the date the refund was requested exceeds the commuter ticket purchase amount.

Handling Packages (Hiroshima Port — Nakamachi Port)

■ Packages are accepted and delivered at the counter at each port. Please bring packages no later than 15 min. prior to departure.
■ Packages are only accepted on cruises departing Hiroshima Port at 10:45, 13:51, and 16:15. (Accepted 9:00–16:00/Delivered 10:15–17:00)
■ Packages are only accepted on cruises departing Nakamachi Port at 9:45, 12:12, and 15:42. (Accepted 8:50–15:30/Delivered 11:15–17:30)
■ Only packages with length, width, and height totaling a maximum of 2m and weighing a maximum of 25kg are accepted. However, as an exception, even if a package exceeds 2m, if it is 20kg or less it will be accepted for a charge one level higher on the fee scale.
■ Approx. 5 packages are accepted per cruise. Anything above that will be determined by size.
■ The fee must be paid up front. Payment on arrival is not permitted.
■ The service is not available on Sundays, national holidays, during the Obon holidays, and New Year’s holidays.

■ The discount rate differs if an extra vessel is needed, so please inquire.
